Harry Elliott, whose real name is Charles Edmond Hermet (born in Paris 1882 and died in Villez-sous-Bailleul May 1959)
Charles Edmond Hermet was a Frenchman with a fondness for all things British and so adapted a British name, Harry Eliott, for his artistic pursuits. He was a painter and illustrator, best remembered for illustrating the works of Charles Dickens, as well as for a series he did on outdoor and hunting scenes very much in the style of Cecil Alden.
